Scotty Yates

Born in Kansas City , Missouri, Scotty’s professional music career began while in college. After a call from a very popular band from southern Missouri, Scotty chose to leave college and move to Springfield, Missouri and tour the Midwest with the band “Lavender Hill Mob”. Working through the VanZeeland Agency they convinced Scotty to organize his own band which continued on the road throughout the United States for 5 years.

Returning to Kansas City Scotty started playing a house gig at “ Hot Rocks” a Rock & Roll nightclub in Kansas City lasting 5 years. While working as the guitar player for the KC Opry (Garth Brooks got his first bookings here), a call from Kansas City recording artists “Riverrock” convinced Scotty to go back on the road playing shows and festivals supporting their recent album. That tour lasted 3 years. An opportunity to play with Jerry Presley resulted in 10 years performing and touring with "The Jordanaires” & “”The Stamps” (known for recording and touring with Elvis Presley).

In 2011 he received the honor of being inducted into the “Kansas Music Hall Of Fame” Scotty has performed on stage with Loretta Lynn, Jeannie C Riley, B. J.
